Waiting on the Lord

"The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD."

— Lamentations 3:25-26

These words speak deeply to my heart today because waiting on the Lord is often one of the hardest things we are called to do.

Every one of us faces giants in our lives. We all walk through seasons of trials, pain, uncertainty, and tribulation. That is the reality of living in a fallen world. Yet Jesus Christ reminded us that although we would face tribulation, we would never face it alone. He walks with us through every valley, every storm, and every difficult season.

So often we believe in God’s power, provision, and ability to deliver us, but we struggle with His timing. We want answers immediately. In truth, most of us wanted them yesterday. And when the breakthrough does not come as quickly as we hoped, discouragement can quietly begin to settle into our hearts. Faith feels tested, hope begins to weaken, and we start wondering if things will ever change.

But in the silence, the Lord whispers, “Be still. Trust Me. Wait on Me.”

God’s delays are never His denials. While we are waiting, He is still working. He sees the beginning and the end, and His timing is always perfect, even when we cannot yet understand it. The Lord is faithful to renew, restore, and fulfill every promise according to His will.

So today, hold on to hope. Keep seeking Him. Keep praying. Keep trusting, even when the answers seem delayed. In His perfect timing, all things will be made new, for all things are possible with God to those who patiently place their hope in Him.

May this encourage your heart today and carry you through whatever you may be facing. May the peace of the Lord surround you, strengthen you, and bless you abundantly.
